second December: Lucius / Narcissa
1990
"Well, Draco," Lucius asked with raised eyebrows.
Draco felt that the new Nimbus 2000, he had just freed from the precious gift of paper manufacturing company. He shone in the light of Chandelier and candles that were attached to the three-meter high Christmas tree. He was just as Draco had expected. He had no doubt of getting the broom. He was new to the market and his father would make that fact alone, not with old broom. He wanted only the best of the best.
He had thought that Draco's flying skills should be improved so that he would do in Hogwarts for the next school year, the family has no shame. Although he had not hinted at, but Draco was nevertheless clear that it was Lucius' request that he as soon as possible included in the Quidditch team should be. It did not matter that it was for a century any more students succeeded in the first grade to make the team, not even Lucius himself, as Draco cried like to be in memory. It would show that her family was not usually .
That was the most important: Nothing, absolutely nothing, should usually be at the Malfoy family. Neither the dishes from which they ate, even the bed linen in which they slept. And certainly not Christmas.
For this reason, they had the largest tree in the area, which was set up in the impressive foyer and up stood up to the first floor. He was decorated with real gold. The rest of the decor was tasteful, elegant and of course expensive. Malfoy never gave the second best pleased.
"He is perfect, Father," Draco was exactly the response that was expected of him. He would like to try out the broom, but it was clear that was not the time for that now. If he wanted to really enjoy it, without the watchful eyes of his father, who criticized his every move, then he would have to wait, not until his parents were there. His mother was anyway the view that flies for it was too dangerous. But his father did not agree and that is what counts.
Lucius looked at him still invitingly.
"Thank you," he added.
His mother came from the kitchen. She held a teacup in his hand. "This incompetent house elf has tilted lots of sugar in the tea. I even had to make it new. "She said disapprovingly. She sat on the leather sofa and stroked her green silk dress smooth. Lucius and Narcissa would never have thought to unwrap the gifts in their pajamas, as it would have been really usual. They insisted on a fair, ceremonial clothing.
you looked at her son, who was sitting on the other sofa, holding the latest and most expensive racing broom in the world in his hand. "Do you like it?" She asked, smiling.
Draco returned her smile and nodded. "Yes, very. Thank you, mother. "He stood up and kissed her on the cheek. "I better stash him in the broom closet.", He added, holding up the broom.
Lucius nodded in agreement. "Remember the Door finish. I do not want any house elf sniffing around there. "He called to his son too hard.
Draco rolled his eyes. As if he would have forgotten it ever!
"The gift has not missed its effect," said Lucius, with satisfaction, and leaned back. He raised his hand and stroked her blond hair out of Narcissa's face. His fingers lingered on her earlobe. "Do you like them?"
Narcissa nodded. "The earrings are wonderful." Lucius had given her diamond earrings for Christmas. You had been outrageously expensive and you could see them. "Thanks." Lucius nodded. "For you only the best." Something else was at the Malfoy family is out of question.
